I see. As a quick fix, I tried to call python 2.6 from the colout script, but that failed because importlib exists only in python3. I don't know how to make it work on both versions, I'm afraid.

Why did you have to switch to python3? https://github.com/nojhan/colout/commit/37934e9266d05e1519ac... https://github.com/nojhan/colout/commit/64454e42f1cf5a4f8cd4... Update: 37934e9 still works with python 2.6

Funnily enough, in Germany parents are advised to not let their newborns sleep in somewhere with all four sides closed (as is the case in this box). The alleged reason is to reduce the risk of sudden infant death.

Its in Section 14 of the relevant law: http://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/pauswg/__14.html (in German, obviously) It says who is allowed to 'process' the relevant information from the document. Copying is not mentioned. The German Wikipedi

I don't quite see the trap: if you want to leave, why don't you leave? Seems there are plenty of opportunities out there. Having a raise is an incentive to stay, not an obligation. The question is, does your family really _need_ your curren

Why does unlimited prevent honest comparisons? I'd argue that unlimited makes "honest" comparisons more convenient: compare the bandwidths and you're done! The alternative is to compare bandwidth x1 and limit y1 against bandwidth x2 and lim

Cool! Though a bit harsh to have it always disabled on OpenBSD. If you're running only one process or core, you could still benefit from mmaped I/O, couldn't you?

Later on, the say mmapped I/O is always disabled on OpenBSD because of a buggy unified buffer cache.

Wow, that's huge! I'm wondering how this has not been noticed before. I know, X11 is pretty old, but still, with the increasing awareness for security in the past, it's kind of funny nobody has ever checked such a prominent piece of softwar

So, Thoonk could have been the bottleneck and it had nothing to do with Go? Just kidding.

That's true, but OP talked about storing '100 byte records' into a single file. For large files (x times block size), wasting a block for the tail is usually negligible.

I would have appreciated it, if the article tells me _which_ difference I am supposed to see. I know, the fonts look different, but why is one deemed 'superior' to the other? In the section 'Alternatives', it proposes Verdana, but in the c
