I use 1 with a long hook except when I write binary numbers where I use just a | for 1. I have some other context dependent characters/letters. I write small z like that in normal writing, but as a mathematical variable I write it as ƶ

I don’t know how to activate the power using the three colored 3x3 fields… Edit: The correct symbols are right in front of you when you face the 3x3 fields.

- How does this compare to the raytracing units in Apple A17 Pro/M3 series? They also provide additional eye candy for a relatively large cost I would say. - Why are relatively expensive and large GPUs like in the RTX 3070 commonly cal

I think it’s an omission to not include the vast improvements that happened to the bicycle after 1888. It wasn’t finished by 1888 with the safety bicycle. Only by the 1860s the fast iteration of bicycles (together with substantial innovatio

But that’s what I said: My post starts with “no”. The other points in the “but” are all still true. The RAM or SSD are specifically not faster because of its “integrated nature”. The RAM is faster because Apple engineered an actually wide b

But it’s chunky! I love the Air for its lack of chunk and lack of fans! For me it’s a precision machine that’s pure joy to use; I just want more RAM.

No, but Apple tends to have faster RAM (way more bandwidth), faster SSDs, and macOS tends to have a better memory compression algorithm.

It’s good but they should’ve upped the memory from 24G to 32G. In my opinion a new Macbook Air only makes sense when you can get more memory. And I still think it’s the best laptop.

Why not bunk beds like in a sleeper car? They don’t take up more space, and let you have a good night’s rest.

“People” seem to think whenever you have a number of options, each option is equally likely. I get into the car today - either I die in a crash or I don’t. Hmm, I didn’t die, I survived the 50:50. Their model doesn’t allow accounting for va

No, it’s really bandwidth. Big GPUs have on the order of 800 GB/s memory bandwidth and big CPUs only 80 GB/s! Except for Apple. They really need to up the bandwidth. GPU performance is proportional to both bandwidth and compute.

Did you custom build those Language processors for this task? Or did you repurpose something already existing? I have never heard anyone use ‘Language processor’ before.

How salty it is, it is like 1999’s Microsoft. The monopolist uses all dishonorable tactics of the book. We could have so much more if those monopolists weren’t so good at lobbying their will against all ours.

Yes, the Pico cannot run an operating system as it has a -M (microcontroller) processor and not an -A (application) processor. It has no MMU etc etc. It is built to just run one process in essence with minuscule amounts of RAM.
