In the US, I've found Chase bank has the best UI/UX for the major banks in the US. I'm looking forward to Marcus (people behind the Apple Card) releasing a consumer checking account and Marcus branded credit card. Their UI&#x

I giggled at this project name. Seriously. This is cool. CLI rules all, but man, sometimes it's nice to use a GUI.

Yeah. AirBNB has destroyed the rental markets of 100s of metropolitan areas. If you're working there, then you helped that. Facebook is the sole reason we have AntiVaxxers, Trump, and fake news in general. Working at facebook, you'

DBeaver is great, in part because it's purely functional. The UI is straight forward and well thought out. It also supports everything.

I know where I work we're starting to use SQS, DynamoDB, and Aurora as we poorly expand into the cloud.

You're right. There are open source replacements for most AWS services, but that's like saying Wine under Linux is the same as Windows. For the most part, it works well enough to run most application but there are some that just d

But that's what AWS offers. All the big products- SQS, DynamoDB, Aurora, S3, Beanstalk. Those are all AWS services you can't use outside AWS (sure, there are API compatible alternatives out there). If you design for those services

I would put money on careless/unskilled programming over diabolical. For diabolical code, you would want something that could withstand a few levels of code review.

I 100% agree with you, but the R&D time for something like this would eclipse an equivalent effort in Javascript/web tech. There needs to be focus on building tooling that enables rapid development of native applications. GTK is a

Yep. A lot of issues come from legacy products and configurations. You can do a greenfield infrastructure with OpenStack, VMware, or oVirt/RHEV and it's a pleasure to work with.

That's easier said then done. There are no simple cross cloud provider solutions for a private networking other then ZeroTier, which has it's own issues.
