Not related but somehow it reminded me that I had one of those casio pocket tvs and felt so cool that I could watch a _very_ limited amount of TV while on the go mid-late 90s, and how I even managed to hook it up to our local cable with a h

A browser that requires an account to use? No thanks. The "why do i need an account" popup doesn't properly explain it to me either, syncing should be optional - let me use, or at least try, it without an account first.

I love working with Elixir and hope to be able to find a new gig where I can continue doing that. That's the hardest part unfortunately still. But more ontopic, has anyone here already used these LiveView Streams in production? Based o

What I love most about this is that it's basically the reverse of how 35mm photography was invented by Oskar Barnack. He wanted a more compact/portable camera to take on travels, because he was asthmatic, and ended up building a c

I also wonder that about any audio/video DRM, but like most things it's probably something that is agreed upon in the many licenses that they'll protect the copyrighted material to their best ability. Even though everybody kn

(thanks for all your work!) I understand the reasoning and especially when you put it like that it makes sense, the reason i feels weird to me is mainly because it's just different than many years of development with various frameworks

We've been using 1.7.0 as rc for a while now and the verified routes especially have been much more enjoyable to use. Unifying components between controllers and liveview was also a welcome improvement The only thing I really don'

That's interesting! When I started out I maybe felt the same but most of that was just not understanding it, and now to me it feels like one of the more explicit frameworks I've used, which I actually enjoy. I could recommend read

Now there's a name I haven't heard much in the last decades. Before I switched from Windows to MacOS I used their demo editor SciTE as my text editor of choice and was very happy with it.

I love using Elixir but I also like to think "right tool for the job" and imho Elixir is generally not the right tool for the job for command-line user interfaces. It's fun to experiment with though, of course. Having said al

Hm but you are saying the same as me, that "The people looking for freelancers rarely post". I never said they don't look at the freelancers who are looking, I haven't tried it myself so wouldn't know that. It'

I've ran into issues with every browser I developed for (even to the point of the computer freezing in some Chrome bugs I remember) and have never felt like Safari was as annoying or frustrating as IE was back in the day (and _that_ is

I believe querySelector/querySelectorAll supports all native CSS selectors, including attribute selectors. But jQuery does hahve custom selectors as well (at least last I used it, which is over 10 years ago)
