Your defense of the contrarian framing feels like it's missing the point. What you're describing as "counterintuitive" is actually pretty standard for anyone who's been working deeply with LLMs for a while. Most exp

This article reads like "I'm not like other LLM users" tech writing. There are good points about when LLMs are actually useful vs. overhyped, but the contrarian framing undermines what could have been straightforward practica

If you need a way to ease into mind clarity and distraction-free time, try taking an hour to an hour and a half of walking outside. You still need to maintain focus somewhat, but the mind quickly starts to wander.

I just took a nondescript photo of my culdesac... no signs or house numbers, nothing. I used a temporary chat, so no info about me is in the memory. It guessed correctly down to the suburban town. When asked to explain how it did it, it lis

What a complete exhaustive set of examples! Very useful. Both SVG and Canvas renderers differ very little and both seem to be super performant. The declarative API is just so simple... harkens back to the age of batteries-included web frame

It uses ariaSnapshot, which is an accessible representation of the DOM used by screen readers and accessibility validation tools as well as playwright testing. However, even with that, it will quickly exhaust the model context if you naviga

Interesting to see a Rust implementation of RDP. The protocol has a lot of quirks and edge cases that make it challenging to implement correctly, especially around authentication and session management. The focus on security is good, but I&

Should have been zero permissions by default. The current model is a mess of global settings, workflow permissions, and job tokens that nobody understands.

I think parental paranoia plays a very small role in this. If at least one thing were to change: reasonable schoolbus routes, walkability, traffic safety, public transport, then we'd see a huge uptick.

This is the reason I don't use firefox and opt for Edge instead. Mozilla's ridiculous stance on WebUSB, WebSerial and other web-forward tech is bizarre. It shuts out a huge hobbyist community and diminishes web as a platform.

The justification still holds, but better tech with the same benefits exists nowadays. As far as digital decoding delay is concerned, this is a negligible number if implemented correctly.

Quite the opposite. For short messages digital modes can employ layers of redundancy, auto carrier recovery, error correction at all layers all while yielding lower power requirements, and longer distance.

I was thinking along the same exact lines: Why do we still rely on analog narrowband AM voice over VHF to do vital comms like air traffic control? Same way as we did in the 1940s! We should be transcribing the messages and relaying them dig
