I think the issue is there two funding models at play. Advertising vs. paid content. Apple wants the tide to switch to paid content, and want to encourage people to do so through their own merchant gateways. In my opinion, this feel reasona

This tracking needs to be reduced, I applaud Apple for helping progress this. Next order of business is removing the Apple's marketplace monopolisation; the App Store should not be the only marketplace available.

I'm a UK citizen. We don't have those brand here. You're right, Nurofen contains ibuprofen in it's main product range, not paracetamol. The point is a generic drug was branded to solve specific ailments, when it acts in

I remember years ago (we're talking 20 years), it was possible to circumvent chip level batching between Nvidia Geforce and Quadro. Geforce was the consumer range, and Quadro was used for workstation graphics. They both used the same c

I wonder if open source drivers will eventually circumvent this limit?

I agree. It's a bad move. Provide a better product for mining .. don't cripple what's out there. This feels similar to when Nurofen tried to repackage generic drugs for different types of pain. I.e. ultimately a branding exer

I don't understand why this should be hidden. Obfuscation leads to compromised security. If we don't know about this mode, how can we be sure it's not being used as an attack vector?

I came away with a different take away. Perhaps a sustainable ecosystem is more likely to thrive if those at the top follow the same model patterns of interaction. .. and perhaps, the fact that there's an evolutionary biological precid

The doctrine was M.A.D. .. or mutually assured distruction[1]. I believe the (arguably crazy) idea was that the weapons wouldn't ever be used. The fact that each nuclear superpower has a similar amount of weapons assured that the equal

Perhaps, but I'm definitely left wondering how the previous generation Mac mini .. with an integrated hub and an old school 'hot' processor ever managed to function.

I wouldn't agree that cost is a performance metric - unless we're talking about value for Apple shareholders. I can't imagine including two more ports would significantly increase the heat profile of a device. Surely the powe

TLDR Apple provide the capability to service more than two ports performatively, but choose to only include two physical ports so you'll need to buy accessories. Thanks Apple.

How about people choose for themselves? Feels that one person's annoyance is another's wish. I don't see why someone's invented manifesto should be used as a guide for everyone.
