Design is hard because models change almost on a weekly basis. Quality abruptly falls off or drastically changes without announcements. It’s like building a house without proper foundation. I don’t know how many tokens I wasted because of t

Let’s just say what it is: devs are too constrained to jump ship right now. It’s a massive land grab and you are not going to spend time tinkering with CUDA alternatives when even a six-month delay can basically kill your company/organ

At the end of the day it all comes down to input data. There are a lot of things you can do to collect proprietary data to give you an edge.

I don’t know why seasoned veterans praise these books and then implement some of the worst interview practices to test people on writing convoluted bs code for hours. Just doesn’t make sense. Do you want to hire pragmatic programmers or mon

We’re not far from Nvidia exclusively bundling ChatGPT. It’s a classic playbook from Microsoft.

I agree with you 100%. If basic functionalities are not airtight, there’s no way I am going to deal with growing pains just because they want to get paid on AI fluffs. Contrast this with something like Ghostty.

I am against digital IDs. There’s a reason why security-minded people carry around physical hardware keys. The fact that Apple remains a black box company means I can’t trust them now and definitely not later when their changing financial c

I do wish they sold a double-side magsafe that you can put on your shirt/jacket so I can just clip my iPhone on my chest. Pro Max is too big for my pockets.

They probably know more than us. Such as alternative chips or that the Chinese will go in-house sooner than we think. Nvidia’s moat is not as permanent as people think.

I’ve been an Apple fan for as long as I can remember. I didn’t worship Jobs but he had complete control of Apple when he returned and molded the company in his vision. The company lacks that vision. Vision Pro is an example of that failure.

Of course they are paying them. That’s not my point. My point is this is the only way for them to gain market share and they need Western users to train future models. They have to give them away. I’d be shocked if compute costs are not hea

The answer is simply that no one would pay to use them for a number of reasons including privacy. They have to give them away and put up some semblance of openness. No option really.

9 out of 10, people around you will take advantage of you for most of your career. You will grow resentful and lose motivation. And basically the core driver of your happiness will slowly fade. I’ve seen it happen too many times.
