Who bought Semi? Jobs knew they had to make their own. M1 is just a product of their iPhone chips hence all the efficiency.

Seriously. Those Apple guys became delusional especially after Jobs passed away. These guys just sat on their successes and did nothing for a decade plus. M1 was nice but that was all Jobs doing and planning. I don’t like this Apple. They f

Not in a bubble yet. Wait till your aunt takes out a second mortgage to chase NVDA stock to the moon. My guess is this will continue until later this decade with some bumps in between. That said, it’s absurd these guys are paying people so

Django just works out of the box. And if you hate JS, well… I am glad Django kept at it all these years despite all the JS frameworks gaining (and falling out of) popularity. So thank you to all those who contributed even when it wasn’t so

That early Python community was really nice. There were a lot of helpful strangers on the internet. Same with Ruby.

You have to put in some effort to put in the guardrails and scaffolds to make it produce what you want. It’s definitely not out-of-the-box deal.

Unless it offers me something substantially better than VSCode, I am not gonna switch and it has a lot to do with unsupported extensions. For now, I think UX preference has to be CLI with web gui wrapper where you can pick models, agents, r

This is a real problem that’s only going to get worse. With the major model providers basically keeping all the data themselves, I frankly don’t like this trend long term.

I love the fact that I can use this right away and test it out in practice. The ecosystem around LLM is simply awesome and improving by the day.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved neovim and other tools but tbh I just nano for simple edits now. AI tab complete is just too good. Basically it’s barebones or VSCode (or its variants). I could probably use vanilla neovim instead of nano but I&#

I think in theory this type of approach is good but you know what’s going to happen eventually. Companies like OpenAI is already gatekeeping its best models. You need to pay and tier up on their platform to even use it. There’s no free lunc

If you’re like me and want to maintain a clean dev machine. I don’t want my machine to get in my way when I need to get work done. That means I don’t want some X messing things up somewhere that I didn’t know about. Older I get my memory is

I don’t know, others might be better out of the box. But once you start adding features they all become a mess. I rather just deal with a known mess and not waste time with tools.

This is my approach but it wasn’t all smooth especially with MCPs. And Docker wants you to install their Desktop software which is crap. I am not touching that thing. Yes, devcontainer extension is a thing but it’s a simple tool. We need so

Which is interesting because Sonnet is cheap and Opus is not on par with o3 for tasks where you want to deploy it.

OpenAI needs to up their game on Codex to be on par with Claude Code. o3 is a better planner relative to Opus.

I will be honest and say, yes, I am guilty. I sometimes look at AI code and say “it does work. Doesn’t need to be elegant or bulletproof.”

I thought Apple would drive it to the ground after their fallout considering how Jobs handled things. Nvidia rode that crypto wave and AI was there at the very end of that rainbow. Having said that, they kept at CUDA all these years even be

The hype is on OpenAI not AI. AI is nothing new. It’s been around for a very long time and it will continue to get better as a function of data and compute. Remember the dotcom days? People got hyped on Netscape, AOL, Cisco, etc. There will

I am not 100% sold on these CLI tools. Namely because they don’t optimize on coordination. I’d like to see a more polished AI behind the coordination based on context, memory, cost, speed, etc. It doesn’t make sense to deploy LLM to do this
