I’d like to think it’s the most extensible format. If you prefer GUI, you can put a wrapper around it but this gives you the most flexibility.

If you want to die on this hill that communism failed because of the US, there’s nothing I can do or say to convince you otherwise.

You mean all those things the US did to stop the spread of communism which we now know definitely to be a giant dead-end. People make it sound like USSR and communism was so great and it only failed because of the US. This is like saying In

What did they do to the USSR? They collapsed all on their own. If China were on its way up, people will flock there to find opportunities (just as they did briefly following the financial crisis) but the exact opposite is happening. China h

Part of me thinks Rockstar delayed the release of GTA 6 because they realized they can polish the game by a significant margin using the latest AI tools.

And that’s how it’s been forever. If your competitor is doing 10x your work, you will be compelled to learn. If someone has a nail gun and you’re using a hammer, no one’s saying “it’s all nails.” You will go buy a nail gun.

Barrier to entry is actually very very high. Just because we have “open source” models doesn’t mean anyone can enter. And the gap is widening now. I see Anthropic/OpenAI as clear leaders. Opus 4 and its derivative products are irreplac

Based on people around me and anecdotal evidence of when Claude struggles, a lot more than you think. I’ve done some analysis on personal use between Openrouter, Amp, Claude API and $200 subscription, I probably save around $40-50/day.

At this point, question is when does Amazon tell Anthropic to stop because it’s gotta be running up a huge bill. I don’t think they can continue offering the $200 plan for too long even with Amazon’s deep pocket.

Is $200/month a lot of money when you can multiply your productivity? It depends but the most valuable currency in life is time. For some, spending thousands a month would be worth it.

Figma is an incredible product but I don’t like what they’re doing with AI. They should focus on enabling UI/UX designers to do more instead of making a glorified Dreamweaver.

You’re on the money and that’s exactly why I think Grammarly will struggle. OpenAI/Gemini/Claude will get embedded further. Gemini is already on gmail. Getting OpenAI and Claude incorporated is trivial. Guess what? Once Apple figu

That’s true but I can replace Grammarly in a few hours with Claude. 99% of the functionality. Then, I can spend a couple more days to add stuff that they can’t add due to copyright.

I think it’s time that Apple bids Anthropic with an obscene amount of money they can’t refuse. In my view, Anthropic is SOTA. And while OpenAI is also nice, you don’t have to deal with that one person with a “main character” syndrome.

Grammarly has an existential crisis. It can be replaced it with free versions of the top models and they are much better (and I can control the UI anyway I want). In fact, many of these “web 2.0” business models are a few more updates away

I think it’s safe to say the boomers were exposed to lead the most out of anyone especially if they grew up in heavy traffic areas. That said, that’s no excuse since the Romans were probably exposed at a significantly higher rate and they c

Thank you to everyone behind this effort. At some point, decades ago in the past, Oracle added value to the tech ecosystem. Now, they’re a giant rent-extracting behemoth. I hate the fact that we can’t have nice things in 2025 simply becaus

This makes it sound like people are original and profound. No. 99% of day to day is just repetition. Critical thinking is innate and rare. This is why religion is such a successful social form. This is also why governments like North Korea

In hindsight, MSFT made out like a bandit in that deal since OpenAI seemingly tapped out of MSFT resources already. MSFT can always spin up its own LLM. It’s not that expensive for them and they can wait it out for tech to mature a bit more

I understand this sentiment. Part of it was people trying to build up their cv for Rust. On the other hand, some tools/libraries in Python were old. Take pandas for example, it was not good for modern use. We desperately needed somethi
