If you are on a Mac, use homebrew-cask ( http://caskroom.io ). It's like Brew, but for binaries. Works like a charm and you don't get the malware-injecting wrapper.

They used to use SourceForge to distribute bottles (binaries), but have switched to Bintray a while ago.

I'm sorry, memory failed me and I included more keys in the listing. Anyway, having to hit the enter and backspace keys with the thumb is what I found problematic, that's why I remapped them to alternative places with their online

I've been using a TEK for a month but in the end I returned it. I'm quite susceptible to RSI but it seems that, unlike others, my weak fingers are actually my thumbs instead of the pinkies, and this keyboard puts heavy emphasis to

> Sshfs is better In my experience it highly depends on the editor. With Sublime Text 3 on OS X, each keystroke is delayed by SSHFS' latency. It's a pain. Tramp transfers the files back and forth, always working on a local copy

They also get around the increasing delay enforced after a certain number of failures, to slow down bruteforce attacks.

Unfortunately many bugs are not copied over there. I myself am guilty of not going through the hassle of mirroring every bug report I submit. In the end, I believe it is more worthwhile to just file bugs [1] en-masse to have a "this is

I'd argue that Firefox OS is an even better proposition if you care about freedom. Android is slowly becoming the shadow of its former self with more and more core functionality (from the point of view of a developer) slowly moving to

In an hypothetical future, with XHTML now effectively gone and HTML5 becoming an ever increasing jumbled mess, if I were to _really_ have the chance to reinvent HTML, I would reimplement it in terms of S-expressions. Easier to parse and bet

Yes, OS X's Finder still doesn't have a way to sort directories before files. Having the space as first character is just a way to put them to the top.

I recall an AnandTech review pointing out that keycaps on the TECK quickly start to become glossy [1]. Is that still the case? What is your experience (if you own one)? [1]: "the keys come with a slightly textured finish. This in itse

From time to time I use "rustc --pretty normal <file.rs>". Not a real formatting tool, and it has a tendency to produce some funny results at times, but it's better than nothing.
