You can be located pretty trivially, encryption or not. Look up fox-hunting (radio version).

The best thing I can say about the "waves" woo is that it forces you to wait for pullbacks in trends with the best risk reward ratio. So when it works it seems magical but retracements to fibonacci levels have been disproven time

Pretty sure that's the brand I noted in my local McDonalds too. I wondered why there was so much lag to the display, so I checked the brand to look into it later. Dumb of them to write it on the side if they are profiling. GDPR request

That's no Quebecois I've ever heard. Sounds like a Brit who picked it up as a second language in the home or soon after. Even struggles to finish the sentence due to the effort of reading in the 2nd to last one. Struggles with an

I wonder if we'll need a PGP signature for every kind of recording we might make in the future.

I heard that too; being a Brit (and working in languages) probably helps. It did pick it up occasionally though, which gives hope that increased sampling and training could fix the slight miss there. It was that and the Swedish-accented Eng

Fair point, my thought too. Something tells me "big telco" is too valuable to economies to sidestep with a public service/open mesh network relayed via routers and phones as nodes.

Yeah can confirm this is a new way to not only experience Youtube, but the internet itself. This was one of the first few that popped up for me, a cyberpunk/Terry Gilliam reality thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R

Seconding this. I'm in touch with a bunch of smart coder/traders trying this and nobody (to my knowledge) is making backtest match forward test. To me, ML isn't optimised for this kind of problem. It might be possible to klud

Had a similar thought before recently buying a new TV. I had heard of Samsung ads, LG's slow interface so was looking for something else. I do use a PiHole in the house, but didn't want to rely on it. Ended up finding the Philips

From my experience uBlock origin has a feature set/list that can do this where the more advanced uMatrix cannot. I run both and hope to not have to in future. Also run pihole for other devices where custom blocking is tricky.

Timely reminder. UK are shutting down fixed/pstn lines as of 2025 so this is the end of the road if any hacks still exist in the wild. Can get a small bit of that feeling of communicating for 'free' across vast distances with

OK, OK, misunderstood your point - apologies. Yeah if they're selling those as potential profitable avenues... red flags are up. That's not selling shovels to miners, that's selling spoons.

It doesn't sound like you've thought this through. Technical analysis isn't typically based on patterns. Banks trade using TA (see Lehman Bros Forex trading handbook - available online) - it's not strange or unusual to t

This isn't targeted at competing with billion dollar HFT firms. A trading bot can simply ping you an alert when criteria are met for you to take one trade a month/year. Or it can be more involved. But it's not instant suicide

Great thread idea! I'm a fan of static sites, Hugo in particular. Went from WP on Apache in early 2000s, to Drupal/Nginx to Hugo/Nginx more recently. I edit the sites locally and rsync the files with an alias when done. Saves
