I've become a big fan of ncurses software over the years without really realising. Newsbeuter, irssi, cmus/mocp, vim, mutt. It's the resource efficiency and speed of use that make the difference with their shiny UI counterpar

Inspiring. Someone actually doing it, and the way I hope to in a year or few. Keep talking it up and maybe even journal the process. I'd be keen to stay in the loop. May you have more luck than you know what to do with.

Can we get this guy a tonne of money, please? Seriously. That's actually a new concept to me and makes a lot of sense. Would people trust an Apple/MS implementation fully? I'm not convinced, but something cross-platform that

I know this isn't ideal for most people, but you can run a low-power server (Rpi2!) at home with a Tmux session running and Finch/IRC open therein. You can catch up on your messages from any device.

Likewise. My first thought there was how it applied to martial arts. I've been told by a sparring partner to 'look at me' when sparring once, making me more aware of how I 'deconcentrate' my field of vision to take

Have been through a fair few FOSS feed readers since Reader went away. Currently settled on Newsbeuter but it doesn't get as much use as it should. I see this being scanned much more frequently, particularly due to the live stream view

Cool how a small, very soft launch spiralled into a huge virtual launch party. The product caught people's imagination and interest, you'd have to conclude.

I wonder what efforts were made to 'business-ise' and what the initial plans were. Was it reliance on serendipity for the good work to attract cash? It seems odd at first look, and forgive me if I'm way off base, to contribut
