this is just a convoluted way to access information. Imagine the use case you want to apply a filter to all your photos. Either you give service provider access to all your photos, or they give you access to run the code out of their contro

Even if the author assumptions are true and valid, this is like saying mirroring RAID is a safe backup option :) it is not. if you have 10 DB hosts with the same brand of nvme, and they fail under a workload, what good is it that you have 1

"the only wining move is not to play" really, if you are in a point where you hunt for hidden settings to disable in your browser? why not just use firefox?

you talk like either as if facetime is a good product, or as if you love anything from apple regardless. i think it is a closed solution that sucks just like all the others. i think every single one of those lock-in-for-profit platform only

Now one can only hope apple will add in code to run faceTime much slower on non-safari browsers, just like Google did with Firefox for meet. Ha. And then those practices will escalate and drive both companies to the ground :)

so, my last suggestion + a perfect disposable anonymous pseudonyms system. infinite troll accounts would ideally be defeated by all the moderation being exposed and distributed. and infinite pseudonyms account would make toe the line effort

It almost feel like the only sane moderation system is to expose as much information as possible to all users? as much as the moderators have?

honestly, anyone with half a brain do not see that cryptocurrencies are re-hashing (heh) every single scam from the unregulated investment market times? every single one of them. Many times over. I think everyone knows, because, c'mon.

I don't think anything :) just that the price, if it were reflecting existing revenue sources, would be much lower. The seller and buyer both agree that the promise of something else is what was traded, as the price proves.

They can say whatever they want. But they are not and never will be. Their community management tools are awful and the philosophy they and the moderators abide to is that questions/answers must be closed as soon as possible. For examp

SO will never be wikipedia and that is OK. What we miss the the middle ground. And that is open for the taking! (hint) SO is transient and disposable. It is about the error message of the day and by chance hits the language/pattern of

This is the only correct answer, IMO. all the other pundits miss that if the deal was for existing source of revenue, it would have been priced as modestly as those are.

because common sense says that acquisitions result in attrition of key people, damaging layoffs, forced integrations, etc. nothing that helps the product/user base. Acquisition that improves things are extremely out of the norm.

It is the same problem all over again. embedded is tricky because you want to do too much with too little. Then every time there's advancements in what you have available, people add all the niceties back. And at this point it is not e
