One thing I think people confuse with context is they see an LLM has say 400k context and think their codebase is way bigger than that, how can it possibly work. Well, do you hold a 10 million line codebase in your head at once? Of course n

Yep, some ovens (like mine) even have a Proof setting that keeps it at 100 degrees F automatically, for as long as you want. We make a lot of bread is how I know this

It’s nice that $10 is trivial to you but it isn’t to everyone. Being cheap and being poor are different.

Shared telemetry library, you realize that you are missing an important metric to operationalize your services. You now need to deploy all 140 to get the benefit. Your runtime version is out of date / end of life. You now need to updat

I read this as a joke ($1/lb because 100 pennies weighs about a pound - although online sources make it sound like it's closer to 200 pennies for a pound)

You can mTLS to CloudFlare too, if you’re not one of the anti-CloudFlare people. Then all traffic drops besides traffic that passes thru CF and the mTLS handshake prevents bypassing CF.

What’s a good staring point for getting into this? I don’t even know what Cerebras is. I just use GitHub copilot in VS Code. Is this local models?

What about capitalism created AI? China is not a purely capitalistic society and they have AI too… I don’t see anything specific about capitalism that brings about AI. In fact much of the advances in it came about through academia, which is

What about Nixon’s impeachment and resignation? What about Trump being a convicted felon 5 ways to Sunday (yes they overturned this since he won again, but I doubt it would have gone this direction if he’d lost.)

Is this a parody of the Dropbox comment or is this sincere? I don’t think iPads have built in ssh… and even if they do, this is a far cry from an app. It assumes you have a Linux machine on your local network and are willing and able to set

You can have a negative opinion of DHH, but why not provide some context as to why your dislike of him would cause you to think this Linux distro is a bad option? I don’t know anything about the distro.

Things that used to be prohibitive are made much easier with AI these days. Especially tasks like this that do something fairly small and isolated and are easy to test.

Have you used SOTA models to code in the last 2 months or so? This reads like someone who has given up a year ago and made their impressions based off GPT-3. AI can absolutely have creativity. You just have to engage it like that. The artic

I reset context probably every 5-10 minutes if not more frequently, and commit even more often than that. If you’re going 5 hours between commits or context resets, I’m not surprised you’re getting bad results. If you ever see “summarizing”

DO Spaces, for at least a year after launch, had no durability guarantees whatsoever. Perhaps they do now, but I wouldn’t compare DO in any meaningful way to S3, which has crazy high durability guarantees as well as competent engineering ef

But they don’t verify each app in this case, just the developer… you get verified before you even tell them what type of app you have. Sure, it’s possible they could retroactively ban your app, but they could do that without signing too. Ju

Have you used windows 11 and macOS 26? They both have malware scanning and throw up alerts or scary dialogs that you have to do cli commands or workarounds to launch unknown apps. I don’t see this as much different than Android requiring yo

So this is saying you have to have an Android developer account and sign the app with your identity… so a one-time $25 cost and that’s it? You can still distribute and sideload apps as long as you sign them. Microsoft does this for Windows

Yes, but… The AI has way more context on our industry than the raw programming language does. I can say things like “add a stripe webhook processor for the purchase event” and it’s gonna know which library to import, how to structure the AP
