You can use hooks with redux now, so what’s the purpose of using connect instead of useDispatch or useSelector?

This is really cool! WebAssembly is such a great concept and I can’t wait for a better way to manage and preload all these wasm libs. On my iPhone 11, it requested access to the camera and showed the image, says it’s running at 60fps and is

Hmm, that really depends on the market you’re in and the rate of the car loan. I bought a car on credit at 1.8% and freed up money to invest in the market, which appreciated by a lot more than 1.8% per year. Also buying a car in cash is not

Is remote verification fully open over http with no user credential verification or rate limiting? If I were to implement remote verification in an app, I would want to have the user logged in to an account prior to adding a license key. Yo

Ansible is agentless, so the management of endpoints is entirely based on your server doing the scripting. It can use a static inventory file (text) or a dynamic one which can be served from anywhere (eg, sql query). Whenever you write play

Allowing any version drift of dependencies at all means that if you don’t check in and restore using the package lock file, you cannot have reproducible builds. The package lock files are themselves dependent on which package restore tool y

This looks great! I’ll give it a try. Congrats on launching! Email is a great communication mechanism, but as a manager, it’s so hard to corral the process of following up on emails that take many days for people to do. It would be awesome

The app seems compelling but not something I’d likely use much. I’ve noticed this lowkey buzz for Roam building. While I respect their approach and agree with some core concepts, I feel like the implementation is not ideal for the types of

Hmm. I like the idea of making development box setup easier with tooling but this seems less flexible than just doing a vagrant up with an Ubuntu config, or using docker desktop, and costs money. Do people have dev machines that don’t have

I see, thank you for the response. I haven’t ever heard of something like this being possible in production. We typically have to do phased rollouts at a different level of the stack, it’s not something supported by the runtime!

Hi, thank you for contributing! I have gotten into the functional programming paradigm conceptually from working with react/redux. We do all of our development work using TypeScript, rather than JavaScript. Typescript isn’t really stat

I’m not that into hypervisors, but wouldn’t hyper-v be a good choice here? You could have near native windows graphics performance.

That’s not what’s happening. Hyper-v is a type-1 hypervisor. When it’s running, even your Windows instance is running within hyper-v. Windows 10 has the hypervisor platform that lets other vm developers hook into the hyper-v host architectu

I’m using hyper-v and virtualbox together, seems to be fine performance-wise. Only reason we’re using vbox is that we already have vagrant scripts set up for it and hyper-v didn’t seem to work as well as a target for vagrant.

Same question here. We use the hosted version of Azure DevOps for work, but I use github for open source contributions. They both have their place, and DevOps feels more suited to enterprise use than GitHub right now.

You can have a distributed monolith. Monolith doesn’t mean there’s a single deployment. It’s about the interaction between domains. So if you have an app with a database on each device and the app layer is 1 application, one deploy, that’s
