This thread is about how a static text article loaded 500 megs in the background. How would someone prepare for that exactly? This is effectively malware as far as your bandwidth is concerned.

People on government assistance are just casually going to Starbucks for free wifi? They probably don’t even have a reliable way to get around. Let them eat cake?

Thank you for posting this. It’s totally understandable and believable that you simultaneously love them and regret some things about it. There’s this insane pressure in our society to never acknowledge the toll that kids have and to never

Saying that the paradigms of Python and Haskell are the same makes it sound like you don’t know either or both of those languages. They are not just syntactically different. The paradigms literally are different. Python is a high level duck

You can also use cloudflare to create a dns record for each local service (pointed to the local IP) and just mark it as not proxied, then use Wireguard or Tailscale on your router to get VPN access to your whole network. If you set up a rev

Cool concept! I noticed with the Aquarelle brush on iOS, if you swipe fast, you can clearly see the polling rate of the touch events on the canvas. The line looks smooth so I guess you already have an interpolation algorithm going, but this

One of the main problems I see with tauri is that system web views just aren’t a great solution for a ui framework. Partly because Linux doesn’t have an official webview implementation, partly because the web views across OS versions have d

What is this exactly? What is an Android development kit style workflow? It would help to use terms outside of the space that this is in, so that the purpose of it was more comprehensible.

I had cat5e in my house but for phone line usage. It wasn’t daisy chained here, it was all tied in with a punch down panel in the master closet. I re-terminated the punch down side of each cable to ethernet and same with the keystone jacks

How many engineers are using ai-generated software libraries at this point? This could be all over github, but the software mostly sucks (because the AI doesn’t do architecture and real engineering, that has to be input into it right now).
