Not similar to nix, but you can look into Yocto. You can use it to generate an OS. It is, much more involved than using nix, but suitable for low memory environments.

To me, as soon as I know it was fully generated it looses it's magic. It doesn't matter how good it is. I see the same with potteries. A factory made pot cannot have more value than a hand made pot with the signature of a human. T

I would love to know that too. I don't know the frequency the walkie-talkie used: it could anywhere between 136 MHz to 900 MHz. To give you an idea, 135 MHz isn't too far from the FM spectrum. The antenna of your local radio can b

The industry is looking and taking notes: Qualcomm a major IP holder doesn't want to pay for IP while ARM prefer money over the success of its ecosystem. RISC-V immediately comes to mind as a long term alternative. Thank you ARM and Qu

The author is asking for a "give me a break" feature. I would say that in a strongly typed functional language, this is akin to mutating objects. The author seems to wish for an unsafe option to locally turn off the borrower check

I think the bootlneck is largely software. Robots have been there for a while, yet we don't have a good paradigm to program them. Neural net are certainly here to change that. I agree, massive surge in progress is expected!
