Yea except I'm neither of these people but good job on the strawman arguments. Slack is nicer than IRC to use. Nobody here is debating that. Slack solves a heap of problems with IRC. My only point of contention is that there is zero ar

You do realise reloading 100 images in JS would be easy for the browser to detect and just disable JS when it finds that happening. I.e. similar to how pop up blocking works. Detect misbehaving, prevent it, ask user to allow it. Same goes f

Is it? Where are you guys getting your stats in this? Personally I feel like gifs are annoying and distracting.

> the majority of users want autoplaying GIFs. That's an assumption. If you ask users if they want gifs or no auto playing video ads they will choose the latter. And if they don't, so what let them choose.

How many accounts? The resource usage scales linearly with accounts. I had to remove all but one account just to get it under control.

Their product kind of did turn to crap. 30% cpu at idle with 5 accounts. 50% if I enable emojis. Like I'm sorry but it's essentially IRC. There is zero excuse for being that much of a hog. You can blame it on electron if you like

Well defined, Gregorian? You're kidding right? Sure it's "defined", but it's full of hacks to deal with whims of fancy. Even the day of the week calculation is borderline moronic.

You can try. I mount .cache as tmpfs. You need at least 500mb for your browser alone. Browsers tend to work fine. Some apps just fail badly like rofi (command history stored there oof) For what it's worth I also tmpfs+asd .nvm, .npm, a

If there was an option to import chrome passwords into Firefox I couldn't find it. > Read: Do I have reason to migrate out of it? No, but I suggest you try it out for a day or two, see what you think.

Yes but it's clunky compared to chrome. Manager: firefox -p Ordirect access: firefox -p "account name" I believe containers are available without an add-on using aboutconfig but that may have changed or it may not be full fun

On Linux, works for me. Using add-on version if that helps. There is a bug that opening a url via e.g. xdg isn't able to prevent default tab opening on first startup.

I think you read too much into the summary (I did the same.) Took a while to grok it but: People with ASD have much, (much, much,) higher incidence rates of mental health problems usually stemming from loss/lack of employment viability

It's not in the latest release it's from a release or two ago so you probably already have it disabled. But its not only ads they serve up, it's closer to the Google Now feed you see on chrome new tabs in android or Google no
