In NYC without power, but I voted for the third party candidate here. All I care is that whether or not the deadline is extended we know sooner rather than later so we can work around/with that constraint.

Use sockjs instead of socket.io :). There is a rails gem for it, or you could use ruby on top of vert.x which also supports sockjs.

Agreed, Erlang is a total weirdo. As a language is "bad weird", but as a platform is "good weird". Projects like Elixir are way exciting for this reason.

I believe they are building sockjs, which is better than socket.io, in haskell so you should be able to use that someday soon.

Interesting, do like the "implicit currying". And the decorator motivations read better when they are expressed with the <| rather than when they are just "escaped line breaks".

I'd be shocked if they can't add that in in < 100 lines of c# or whatever they use. If Microsoft continues learn from their mistakes they will be very scary. Scary in a good way for once.

As far as online stuff goes, I can't recommend codeschool enough. Really kicking myself that I didn't contribute to their IOS Kickstarter (good excuse - I planned to yesterday but I forgot I was having surgery :)). You really would do well

Enjoyed playing with light table. Ruby is still my favorite language, but clojure seems to be where all the innovation is at these days.

Agree 100% on nontechnical founder thing. And the sad thing is, though the level of skill needed for sustainable application development is very high, for building MVPs you need to know very little. Like not 6 months worth, but on the orde

Awesome. I'll contact you guys. Also, if I have a light and dark version of the logo, would you guys be able to give input as to which one combines better with which color shirt? I have the fashion sense of a homeless man..

Angular is a tremendous framework. It performs great, is engineered for testing, and leads to very clean code that is 1/3 the backbone equivalent.
