Really needs to be a business certificate that dovetails with a trade - so you can manage your business while you work your trade. Your body can wear out pretty fast with hard labor so you need to start your own business at some point.

I think students need to get introduced to code review and working on a code base together. Students need to review each others code. It's not academic - but it definitely improves coding ability.

I wonder if CS should be divided into heavy research and then a serious minor to be applied to other majors. CS of applications should augment other fields of study. CS of research should be the heavy duty stuff.
