Just for reference, M1 of the US Federal Reserve is $3 trillion. Compare this to the US national debt of $14 trillion or the GDP of $19 trillion.

At least for Bitcoin, it’s going to be cheaper and easier just to go to a traditional bank or money transfer company. Unless you somehow have a notion that using it will hide the money from the taxman...

Its probably a fair bit warmer where you live though. This city is in Siberia which although the same latitude as Northern Europe, is a lot colder. Right now it is -20C/-5F there, and it’s not even the cold part of the year yet :-)

I also have gigabit, and in my research it seems that the APU2 tops out around 600mbit. Newer hardware like the Celeron 3855U should handle gigabit fine though.

Over the summer I upgraded to gigabit symmetric fibre and wanted something a bit more 'enterprise' at home that wouldn't have any issues keeping up (compared to consumer wifi router running OpenWRT I'd used before). I bo

IKEA are one of the outliers in this space unfortunately. Last year I bought some Osram Lightify bulbs, as here in Europe they are compatible with the Hue hub (which like Tradfri also works offline). I also got their own hub to update the b

I’d argue that these trucks would be a much better fit in Europe than the US. Here truckers can drive a maximum of 9.5 hours a day with a 45 minute break. These are mandated by law and the pentalties are severe for going over these limits.

Here in Europe the same deals happen, but it just happens behind the scenes, so you don’t know what’s going on. In the US PACs are required to disclose their donors, so you at least have some idea who is trying to push their agenda.

How can you guaranteee the objectivity of a private, for-profit, media agency? If a company like Monsanto wanted to bury a story, I’m sure they wouldn’t have any issues knowing the right people in CNN and Fox to take out for dinner.
