Right. Not everybody wants, needs or has these interactions even in-person . This stuff needs to happen organically to be meaningful. Templates don't work. It's like starting a chess club that everyone has to join.

It's still a perfectly serviceable resolution. Of course 16:19 pushed down display costs leading to the demise of 1920x1200 which is unforgivable ;-) Those 120 pixels were sorely missed.

The examples would illustrate the issue a little better if there were two pin counts with the same shell, eg DE9 and DE15 and maybe two shells with the same pin count (though I'm not aware of such an example). Without that it is barely

What were they confusing the switches with though? Are there two other switches they would be toggling at that phase? Perhaps they were very very confused and thought they had just arrived at the terminal?

That a great idea, perhaps it is not just cultural. Look at the Solvay Conference. That's a lot of lightning in a bottle all at once. Though it's beyond me to articulate it, perhaps that was also cultural.

The US doesn't have popular voting system. There are good reasons for it, and in no way does it make the US non-democratic. I don't particularly like the Electoral College - but the history and the cases when members voted against
