Ironically for me, the final photo of the boy on the roof (presented as evidence of staging) looks less obviously staged than the newsreel. It felt at odds with the preceding text.

I would guess that many people listen to more music than watch TV or movies. They might not want the TV on all the time. So a A/V receiver can make a lot of sense for them. Plus AV receivers can consolidate all the connections so there

My biggest complaint is that the filament RFID spec is closed. BBL parts are not very expensive and their support is stellar. Of course if they go bankrupt we'll be high and dry. Prior to my two A1s I spent more time, and more money in

Yes. I can't stand waffle from native or non-native speakers. Waste of electrons and oxygen :-) that might just be me however. Know your audience ;-)

The Second System problem. Unfortunately even very (legitimately!) smart people fall into the trap. Though it's true that they may know it's a trap. Ulterior motives aplenty.

That's too black and white. Many believe the market is the best vector to deliver public good. It's not a mystery why this perspective exists, and it's not obviously wrong, and it's ridiculous to think that government is

This has to be true in any country with anything approaching a free market? Even if it's not blatant and closer to Inversion of Control you see it reflected in national economic policy all the time.

Adaptive cruise control could do that too. How impressive it is depends on where you live.

That could be an allergy to a local plant, possibly triggering very mild asthma. Or as the other commenter suggests CO2. Get it checked out!

Maybe I'm misreading it but I think the OP understands that. If you feed that true randomness into a computer, what use is it? Will it impair the computer at the very tasks in which it excels? > That all inputs should be defined an

"The Gulf formerly known as Mexico" is a bit of a mouthful. So like Prince back in the nineties, perhaps it should have a symbol. Maybe ⌂ ?

I have had a Kinetic since 1999; a millennium birthday present to myself. It's a bit of an oddity. The lithium-ion power cell needs to be replaced every 5-10 years, and it's relatively expensive part. It has more mechanical comple

WWII era planes such as the Bf109 injected water and methanol into the supercharger to allow higher boost, side effect of that was charge cooling (and engine cooling). A very cool aircraft.
