There was a recent post in which the slack team admitted that they build certain dependencies in dev mode in their production release. I wonder how much that is to blame as opposed to electron? In my experience the windows slack client is

I respect your point, but I still could not disagree more. Actions like this only serve to increase dysfunction, not improve.

Honestly, poor management aside....I cannot believe you are bragging about this. Rather than confront and address the problem, your solution was to actually delete shared knowledge?

I think most teams push back when any new, stricter ruleset is imposed upon them. Sometimes they need some time to see the benefit. I was in the same boat in having to force TS on my team, but they've come to appreciate how effective

I'm honestly at a loss as to why typescript is not the industry standard now. JavaScript is a mess, and I'm continually surprised to encounter anyone who prefers it.

In my low level CS classes we handed in a source code print out. The printout was graded, not execution of the program. Partial credit was given. Even in higher level CS, partial credit was given.

I have no doubt that Clinton was corrupt, but I think Trump is outright dangerous and a huge step backwards for the US. I'll take Clinton's status quo corruption, thank you very much. Besides, your entire point rests upon the inc

You honestly believe that? There's a pattern in the past year of Wikileaks only exposing one side.

It kinda hurt that I tried to impersonate jeffk in this thread and got downvoted into the negatives. I think people thought I was serious. Now I know for sure that I'm out of touch.

I'm curious as to why you think long distance transfer of your data is a better option than LAN? Do you not have control of your network? I transfer huge amounts of data over the LAN all the time. You're making me feel like we

This is a great idea. I'm constantly having to justify that something we didn't pay for can actually be good. Many times I wish the company did have to pay for open source software just so I can throw it in the budget and avoid

I really hope it is. I don't really find VS Code to be any slower than VS. Of course, this depends on what you're using each for. I find I prefer VS Code because it has so few default features. The default install does not con
