You don't know what you're talking about, unfortunately. No one buys order flow. The only time your order won't receive price time priority on the US equities markets is when your broker internalizes the order and matches or improves the pr

Interesting. How about this: the rules of the market must be as general as possible to encourage as many participants with competing motivations to participate. Doing anything but this will create a market that is, by definition, less effic

The concluding question from the article is fundamentally flawed and completely invalid. The market functions because people who want to buy are matched with people who want to sell. This fundamental concepts requires there be an asynchrony

I'm sorry, but that isn't correct. California employment law is the most liberal around when it comes to protecting an employees right to perform works on their own time. As long as you don't build a competing search engine, write a competi

I'm tired of seeing these articles about Diaspora, predicting failure, by people who then go on to say, "Why didn't they use CouchDB!?" implying that their 27 second look at the problem somehow empowers them to make a technology choice, and

I've been an employer in the Austin area both at startups and a very big company. My gut tells me you're right at (or slightly below) the median range and probably right where you should be. Without knowing details, and assuming you're 7 ye

Of course even though you pay nothing for your card and get a cash rebate you also receive a service from your credit card company in the form of hassle free returns and dispute resolution. This is, IMO, worth the nominal carry over effect

American Express Blue Cash card is the best deal around IMO. No fees, and cash back for purchases. Each year I get a check from American Express for about $1 - 2k which is our cash rebate.
