I get OOM with larger files even when they should fit in memory. Powershell is like a poor Java/C# interpreter instead of a quick and dirty shell.

Nope. I used space. After the Erlang slide it moves to the right "tools used", which is the slide on the same level in the next column. This along with back button hijacking makes for the single worst presentation format I've

It can be or it can make it easier. For example, decorators and context managers can do very similar things but make things easier in many cases in Python.

For me it is the opposite. Sometimes when late I rather save a few minutes and I don't care which route I take. Maybe they should let one pick whether they want an aggressive route or not. There's always google maps for slower hi

There is also quotient filter that has theoretical analysis and implementation (1). Also smaller than bloom filter and lets you delete. (1) https://github.com/vedantk/quotient-filter

That's very believable. Example: popping from the beginning of a list in Python is O(N). Popping from the end is O(1). Initial poorly written code can have a lot of such obvious optimizations.

Coming from the biochem community (I'm not a scientist and was just a tech there + grad school classes), aging in the labs I worked in was seen as more of a mechanism. Sure, it leads to deterioration of cellular function which inevita

The author is somewhat confusing aging and dying. Aging is a mechanism. It is there for (probably) many reasons. One of them is to protect against cancer, and therefore from dying. You either age or you get cancer.
