I’ll have to do that soon! “Stay late at LANL” would imply I’m ever actually up there. I think I’ve been onsite 3 times since March.

I’m about 10 miles south of Santa Fe and the night sky blows mind. Nothing like the sky in my moderately sized hometown. Some nights I think I can faintly see the Milky Way... but I might be fooling myself.

Can confirm. My group leader is interested in building “a new hydrocode”, or discussing particulars of “a transport code”. Also, a whole bunch of people at LANL call slide decks “viewgraphs”. That’s my favorite.

Note that this flavor of lensleas imaging never went anywhere. Rambus is no longer active in the space, and both David and Patrick Gill left some time ago. There is very similar grating based imaging coming out of Rice.

Oh neat. I'm new to Santa Fe. Well, I've been here since January... but haven't seen much of the area due to lockdowns + newborn.

"Transposed convolution" was called "deconvolution" for a short period of time. The authors apparently weren't aware that "deconvolution" has meant "the inverse problem of recovering a convolved sign

do you have any suggested reading material? what kind of chronic pain do you have? i've had persistent joint issues that started shortly after a round of levaquin, a very similar drug.

I have the same sticky modifier problem with a USB advantage. Apparently they upgraded the firmware and fixed the problem for the Advantage 2 though.

Is it possible to pass cupy data to C? Possibly by accessing the array pointer. I've used PyCUDA for a very long time. You can use Cython/ctypes/cffi to pass PyCUDA arrays to standard C/CUDA code.

The former. It is known that we can reconstruct MR images at full fidelity- with no loss of information- by randomly sampling "k-space" at something like 10% of the usual sampling rate. This leads to much faster acquisitions.
