Correct. You use PTP+NTP, the RT_PREEMPT patches, and then you have to deal with a constantly varying resampling ratio (!!) And not only that, but if you don't want nasty artifacts, the a LOT of thought also has to go into your filte

I beg to differ: a good rule of thumb is that an (audio) sample takes about 8mm (44.1k). By the time you're a full 1ms late, that's a 44 sample difference between the two (or that's as though the speakers were about a third

I've run OS X on a very low powered Debian box before. I'd wager it could be made to run on a raspi 4 (VERY SLOWLY) with sufficient effort. (you'd have to use qemu TCG, not KVM). It would be easier to run on a SBC that uses

I would love to see AlphaZero play go on other manifolds than the plane. I and some friends attempted to play 3-space go, toroidal go, and go with other mathematical roadblocks a long time ago. It was fun for a few weeks, and we even disco

I built a PoC of this before, and as far as I can tell, entirely legally. End goal was building iOS apps w/o any mac hardware. Using some open source patches to clang, libimobiledevice, and a whole bunch of other tools, I was able to

Cool, thanks, I'll have to check that out!! I've sorta been itching for an excuse to learn rust. Go left me underwhelmed, but that's probably due to me having misplaced expectations. (it's not a better C or C++, it&#x

I'm excited by this, but I'd really love a userspace C or C++ implementation. I know that context switching syscalls take time, but I've enjoyed the trend of the last 10 years towards more userspace services, not less. (I&#

Oh, I'm curious not because I necessarily want such a product. I'm curious because designing, building, and delivering such a thing has been a "back of my head, maybe when i retire, for fun" project. Also, in my career

Heck, if it's just iOS development, it might be possible to do a cloud CI that doesn't violate the ToS. When I was building all my iOS apps from Linux, I wasn't using osx.... I was using cross compiled clang....
