If the goal of promotion or more compensation is literally impossible, then choose another goal that isn't. For the purpose of enjoyment, goals are arbitrary. Eventually, you'll be free to leave, and you can start pursuing other g

It doesn't matter if you are attracted to them or their gender and it doesn't matter if they are offended. Having a calendar of models in swimsuits is not going to fly. The rule must be something else. But, honestly, if you think

How will you create the prototype during the YC period that proves you are ready for the next step? You don't need to answer here or answer to get in YC -- you need to answer that to actually make progress, though. Let's say the

I use Google doc because I don't care if the syntax is perfect. Those IDEs do and when someone is nervous, they make simple mistakes and can't see them right away. It spirals from there. I ask people to do the best they can to ge

BackBlaze -- I have a 2009 MBP and my wife has a cheap 2008 Dell laptop and it runs poorly on them (takes a lot of resources), so I don't run it continuously (just nightly). Other people I know rave about it though. The price and serv

Breaking changes used to be the norm. These days, I think it's less likely, but no way it stays that way for 20 years.

I agree. The main thing working against C++ is that bugs in the software, which (by luck) have no bad effects, might behave differently with new versions of the runtime. I think that Microsoft's SxS runtimes might even help that not h

AP now claims the MX was Google and then changed to MXLogic. Given that and what you say, the most likely scenario IMO is that she was getting too much spam and asked whoever was taking care of her IT to do something. They decided to front-

They are probably talking about the DNS records. If you look up my domain, it will list my home address, but the server is not in my house. The second quote is pure conjecture once they didn't understand what a DNS record is.

Does your name work in a UILabel on an app? It's hard to believe they do something different than that. If not, try to find acceptable characters to use instead. This is more likely an iOS SDK bug than an AppStore one -- see if you can
