To be fair, you can run systemd without NetworkManager or an automounter. For network access, you can run dhcpcd with systemd (on Arch anyway). I've never wanted an automounter on any system. Likewise, systemd doesn't prevent yo

I sure wish qemu were better documented. There's a lot of qemu documentation out there, but much is incomplete or out of date. A lot of Red Hat's documentation is virsh rather than qemu/kvm. It's fairly easy to get so

I used a Lenovo X230 for years and I loved it. One can be had for under $200 US and the Linux drivers are flawless, though make sure you install battery management utilities. The battery and hard drive are replaceable, and there's a

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure that Sir_Cmpwn meant 32 threads, not 32 cores. Raptor sells an 8-core CPU bundle, and those cores are SMT4 capable, meaning 4 threads per core. So it will appear as 32 CPUs if you run `htop` or `cat /

Maybe beneficial to the small game dev to focus on a single platform at expense of the ecosystem, not beneficial to the ecosystem. These devs have got bills to pay, and individually it's hard to push against the current, so it's

Agreed. I don't mind paying for closed source games, but not if it's Windows only. Indy game devs should be able to sell their games for a profit, but it's disappointing when they're helping to prop up a monopoly.
