Who gets to decide what "basic needs" are? Oh, "in a democracy"! That's ok then. But I agree with you on the whole. The serfs should just be grateful I'm not beating them.

I love it when people use meaningless phrases like "reach out to you". It makes spam filtering so easy!

which.co.uk has guides for virtually everything. A UK publication but there must be similar elsewhere. And brands are usually fairly easy to match across countries.

While this is a good point along with hiding cereals, leaving fruit in view, using red plates and other proven tricks it does smack a little of the "quick hack". They're all good things do to but if you want to lose weight yo

Do you still have "3 minor crimes" == "prison time"? Are prisoners still forced to provide cheap "American" goods that would otherwise come from China? Do "Christian" groups still push for the highest

Are you American? Do you support the mass imprisonment of your (mainly black, male) poor? Do you support the death penalty? Are you anti "ObamaCare"? Do you suppory the casual ownership of guns? Is the death of children as a direc

And then the USA got it's hands on it and turned out to be super altruistic! I'd managed to maintain the illusion up to that point...

Your brain is not you. If you resurrected an entire body, whether virtually or otherwise, with all the the myriad microorganisms, etc that implies, it should behave like the person behaved when it was alive.

My anecdata is the exact opposite. I find the met office very accurate. One thing I have noticed is that the idiot glyphs they use don't tie into my expectations. I see a picture of the sun behind a cloud with a rain drop on it and I t

Computer scientists should stop overloading phrases like "over load" to mean other things. Dark ages Europeans should stop overloading Latin words like "lingua" to mean other things. Modern humans should stop overloading

This reminds me of Thoreau's Walden: If I pass off most of my needs to others, I need very little. Now, where's my high horse?
