"What is post-pivot Twitter supposed to look like? The best way to consume “news and information”. Important content is mostly created by media companies, whether they are blogs, television, radio or movies. The main reason that “normal use

The measuring distances thing is not really a big deal in my opinion. Many apps do the same thing. Yelp does a search in this area view, which I've used and thought was a good implementation of searching in a map. Foursquare has a similar f

Metamucil is definitely my favorite lifehack. Not to be crude, but having no-wipe number 2s is amazing.

The whole point is to compare the hardware to see how price competitive the phones actually are.

Well of course this is true if you don't have an OS designed with touch in mind, and you don't have hardware that supports these interactions. I wasn't a believer in this interaction model until I went to the Microsoft Store last week and p

I've heard this argument against the Surface ad, and it really only came from developers. As far as I know, the reception has been pretty positive about the commercial. The purpose of the commercial is to build awareness about Surface, and

You should go play with one in person. It is a really neat tablet experience. Spec for spec it may not appear that competitive, but the user experience is really slick. Snapping apps side by side (have your music on a small pane, and anothe

I agree. I don't see any reasons why I would choose to use Windows 7 over Windows 8. Even if you don't use the Metro interface for anything besides launching apps, it is still a better OS.

The problem hasn't been solved. Apple's use of the screenshot is a design trade-off. Apple's design Pro: You see the previous state of the app, and have the perception that the app has loaded quickly. Con: Many times the UI is blocked while

The courier was nothing more than a conceptual note taking device. Do you really think that a dual screen, notebook would have taken off as a consumer electronics device? I don't. Splitting the Desktop OS with a Surface OS throws out any ad

Out of all the things to complain about in Windows 8, the splash screen seems to be pretty far back in the list of things. Also, on what apps are you experiencing long load times? I just tried opening Skydrive, Music, and Video and they all

This article from The Verge does a good job explaining how much of the focus of the Surface was making sure it had quality hardware. I don't think you can say it won't compete with the iPad on quality, until you use it. "Everything is perfe

Windows Phone not doing well in the market is not an indication of the success of the UI. Most reviewers praise the UI.

I have a fair amount of streaming issues with Spotify as well. UI doesn't indicate any buffering so I'm stuck wondering if the app is having problems playing the song or it is going to play. I often find myself hitting next and then previou

To play devil's advocate, it is less conspicuous to open a door that you can hack open with your phone than it is to pick or bump it (Although depending on your skill, picking it may be a very easy thing too).

Wait, because you encountered a bug (that no one else has replicated), you are putting off Microsoft products for another 10 years? No offense, but that seems like a silly reaction.
