It was definitely used for at least Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, albeit tweaked. I don't doubt that they used it in other titles too.

Swipe typing is a must for me at this point. Tapping on the individual keys is such a slow process on a touchscreen in comparison. Obviously, a real keyboard is leagues better than both, but needs must.

I'd highly recommend using Firefox-UI-Fix (aka Lepton): https://github.com/black7375/Firefox-UI-Fix It is a userchrome hack rather than an extension though, so I guess its time is limited.
