During the holidays, YouTube was showing me 2 15-second ads every single video. I stopped using the app and stuck to the browser. Then I found out about vanced from HW. I'm sorry to my followed channels but it became unbearable.

I believe that in an Internet without ads, services would be either state sponsored utilities for their citizens or cost something to use. The economy would be vastly different and careers like YouTuber or Blogger would not be possible. But

You have a point, but Ecosia strives to be carbon negative, including trying to compensate Bing's emissions (which Bing doesn't make clear how much is carbon neutral) [0]. And while you are right more users, even users that block

It's literally impossible for Ecosia to donate significantly more to tre planting and other initiatives. 80% of profits always go to the ecological projects, or go to the"tree fund". This tree fund can be used in a (sometimes

Who says Ecosia underpays anyone? Please don't spout nonsense. The salaries are not top 1%, but each Euro paid in salary is one euro not going to the projects (only 80% of profits, not revenue, are guaranteed to finance ecological proj

I'm still surprised that to this day Minecraft Java was allowed to survive (albeit just so slightly behind Minecraft Bedrock, but still with some extra features).

That's, of course, your personal opinion. Most dev work brings me no value. Doesn't mean it's not valuable, but maybe I prefer to see more paintings.

What the point in being this pedantic? Green energy is energy that has a significantly lower negative impact on the environment. In 50-100 years maybe wind and solar won't be considered green anymore, but at this moment they are. There
