I’m sure Msty is a good app. And it might be better for some users while it might be worse for others. For example, it’s not a native app and doesn’t support “inline usage”, which some users may find not appealing.

I’ve been running BoltAI[1] and it generates enough revenue for me to work on it full time. I follow the “perpetual license with one year of support/updates” model. So far it’s working great. My customers love it as they’re in control

I spent the last 18 months working on BoltAI.com. It’s a native AI chat client for Mac. I didn’t have experience with Swift and Swift UI before building it. I spent most of the time asking ChatGPT to teach me SwiftUI. It generates enough re

Hey. I've released the fix for this (v1.25.2). You can enable or disable it by using the chat textfield's context-menu (Right-click on the textfield, read more below) https://boltai.com/changelog

I used to "build in public" with my first app 2 years ago, KTool[0] But back then most indie hackers only share numbers in their monthly reports, me included[1]. And it's not just MRR screenshots with no content. Many shared

I built a native all-in-one AI client called BoltAI[0] It’s one of the first AI clients I think. I’ve been working on it for 16 months and shipped more than 100 releases. It started with the idea of invoking an LLM within the Apple Notes ap

I've been building an AI chat client and I use this exact technique to develop the "Web Browsing" plugin. Basically I use Function Calling to extract content from a web page and then pass it to the LLM. There are a few optimi

My apps are native Mac apps [0] [1] so naturally I use the native SDK for that. Apple provides PDFKit framework to work with PDFs and it works really well. For scanned documents, I use the Vision framework to OCR the content. Some additiona

If you’re on macOS, give BoltAI[0] a try. Other than supporting multiple AI services and models, BoltAI also allows you yo create your own AI tools. Highlight the text, press a shortcut key then run a prompt against that text. Disclaimer: I

Sorry for the confusion. I need to improve my pricing page. The license is per user, and can be used on maximum 3 devices. I figured this is enough for most users. If you have more devices or need a custom license, please send me an email (
