Not every thing we do has to solve every problem immediately and entirely. Incremental progress is good.

I found this site really interesting and went through the little quiz but also backed out when I had to give personal information. I guess they want to avoid the Greater Fuckwad Theory?

This is the other side of the open-source coin in my opinion. The freedom to fork and do your own thing is great when you're fighting The Man (somehow) but it seems different when The Man does it to you or one of your projects. I perso

I think you are dismissing another avenue you could take (even if I doubt it would be successful): bill them or send them an invoice. - bill for your time at a reasonable (previously established), rate. This is if you want to get your stuff

I don't evaluate engineers on feature value, only velocity and quality. If the product owners ask for it, that's what we're doing. It's not the engineers fault if some features don't fit the market and some fit real

Is it totally subjective? Can't you measure feature delivery velocity? I can look at delivered velocity for engineers and see trends over 10+ sprints.

I really appreciate apps like this that are just 'apps' - not services, not subscriptions, just a little stand-alone, offline, limited scope app that does what it does well. I bought a copy. Looking forward to playing around with

Sorry, it's been a decade so I don't remember that whole thing. Were users required to use IE, or was it required to be installed? I remember using Chrome/FF/Opera on Windows for many years. You could swap to another bro

Consumers in theory would punish Apple by not buying Apple products. But they don't and I can only guess why (they don't care about browser rendering engines). If you're trying to narrow your punishment to be specifically &qu

You're not understanding what I'm saying; I'm not communicating the point well enough. The fact that is impossible to side load apps is a feature to me. If Apple enables you and others to side load apps, it removes a feature
