Not unless it’s written by a total novice. But hey - as in my previous reply, if you’re happy with AI-written code and honestly can’t see the difference, that’s ok. Do whatever floats your boat.

That’s the thing - many times it’s not obvious. But go check that chunk of code that, sure, works, and you’ll find subtleties that just don’t look right. But hey - you do you if that’s the kind of quality you’re happy with.

Can other devs spew out crap at the same speed at AI? Cleaning up fifteen 10kloc pull requests per day? Yeah didn’t think so.

Dunno man, the articles ai writes are empty cardboard crap, and the code it produces is hot garbage. “Cleaner upper of AI messes” might be a good future skill to have.

Access management is already a problem - just maybe they haven’t run into it. What happens when the employee who has the twitter password leaves? (This is France so the only way is probably retirement). A bespoke system with an interface si

“I heard” = hearsay. Citation needed. (I mean, I heard the earth is flat - but it’s not)

What’s your honest take on how load-bearing its use of em-dashes is now? Measured, not guessed.

I’d have sympathy for the pre-Microsoft GitHub. For the thing they are now, backed by a top-5 company with trillions of dollars? Cry me a river.

Ahh correct, I forgot about that. And do I remember correctly that Handspring was founded by ex-Palm employees to produce PDAs with licensed PalmOS and a cellular modem/phone built in?

Psions were PDAs, not really in the smartphone arena until their OS (EPOC?) became Symbian and started appearing on Nokia phones. Same for Palm - it wasn’t until the Treo series that they started trying to make inroads in the smartphone fie

Laser printers were expensive AF for poor guys just out of college looking for a job. My BJ200 ca. 1993 had awesome print quality, comparable to a Laserjet II, if you used slightly glossy paper (so the ink wouldn’t bleed) and you waited a b

Glad you went for this analogy. It’s like an AI producing a board with a beach umbrella nailed on it and four wheels, and saying “meh it’s good enough for transportation, human car designers are doomed”. It’s functional, right?
