Why did they change the domain after Windows 8? The domain name is more verbose but it doesn't seem like a valid reason for me to invest time in this. Anyone know?

Got any more information on what you're doing with your washing machine? I have this[1] running for the past four years with Telegram without a hitch but I'm curious on what you're doing! [1] https://github.com/

I'll copy paste a comment I made here https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=31096793 but I'm also guessing logistics. They gave a IMO good overview of the difficulties of selling to a new country in a previous post

No blog post or pictures but I have taped an ADXL345(accelerometer) on the back of my washing + dryer and I'm using a pi to notify me when a load is done. Didn't have the time to put a fancy algorithm to detect movement so it'

Access tokens are short lived and can easily be revoked (when opaque). Sending your service credentials to every service is arguably less secure since they can have lesser security or log unwanted things.

It's objectively slower when you need to leave the keyboard with one hand to reach your touchpad. I'm thinking about a desktop environment here where 1. you might not even have a touchpad and 2. you have your both hands on the ke

Still, it's not alt tab with the press-hold-release which is always quicker than doing gesture->arrow to select something->enter.

Keyboard shortcuts are IMO superior to gestures and are objectively faster. The whole virtual desktop can get quite clunky fast when you have multiple windows opened or ephemeral programs that you temporarily need.
