You keep getting downvoted because it's unsubstantiated nonsense that defies logical expectations. Why would Mac kill their own development platform? Further, look Google as they thrash around desperate to diversify their revenue stream.

Is that a conformist attitude or a "work together" attitude because it seems to me that the US system encourages an "every man for himself" attitude.

Yea, as I said, Moose looks pretty good. And I realize perl has changed itself. Today it looks like the biggest issue with perl5 is you need a page long preamble [1] to get a relatively modern language. [1] Use statements to bring in the

Depends on where you are in Europe. I'm in a very safe western Europe country. I don't have a sign, but most people have several hundred on them and they don't go to great efforts to hide that fact the way you have to in the states.

1) You're googler friend is now fired. 2) Sounds worse than a 3rd world country is $1k is such a meaty target. In Europe I often have more than that in my wallet without thinking anything about it.

Why did such yarn spinning get so many upvotes. This is a really silly post. There are lots of people for which their salary is completely known by anyone who cares to. What happens at Thanksgiving for those people in your fantasy land?

I still don't get why in America it's popular to say that ones marriage is sexless. A study came out a few years ago trying to prove that married people were happier, but only ended up proving that on average married people have more sex.

I agree with much of what you've said but every language is not inferior to Lisp. I would say Haskell is on par (in some ways superior). The way I rate the power of a language is based on how many "patterns" you need when using it. For ex
