That isn't really definitive, because the NSA has required companies to change software to capture keys before. There was an encrypted email company who was told they have to start recording private keys used in their web client.

Too bad, his claim that he isn't a developer and just wants to have fun playing and tinker makes him sound a lot like the famous Miyamoto from the StarFox development stories. Miyamoto apparently often played with many different implem

Not really a fan of Google negotiating unmetered access for Android to cellular data like this. I think Google/Apple/BlackBerry/Windows Phone/Xiaomi/random OEM should all have equal access to cellular data and let t

Good. I've seen people cut by those drones and it isn't pretty. The manufacturers should have put safety cages around each prop, even if it cut into performance. But since they don't, I think they should be banned.

Every time I've talked to a business that wants a web site or server backed software product for Chinese users, they've said the server has to be in China. This is why. Even when you do manage to get a request out, it is often lag

Looks like iOS development is going to join the ranks of Android where we have many ways to handle all the screen layouts, sizes, and densities. E.g. the nine patch format to specify which parts of a graphical asset are content, which are p

I think you are kind of missing what the hard part is for many people, which is not choosing where to put the savings, it is choosing to save at all. Many live paycheck to paycheck, even go deep into debt on credit cards and payday loans. T

Your reasons are those of someone deeply involved in technology, which is not the case for the mass market. For them, just looking and feeling good is far more important.

Doesn't actually seem true. OK, running the decrypt leaves the key and data in SSE registers that are rarely used where it might be looked up later by attackers. There isn't any portable way to explicitly clear the registers. Then

Searched the entire page and saw no mention of LTE, so I assume it doesn't have it. The price is actually high for a non-LTE smartphone in my opinion.

Native apps already have good support for encryption in general. The default Mail app in OS X has a button for it, for example. The only thing new here is bringing it to the big webmail clients via browser add-ons.
