I tried with an oncologist who uses GPT ~daily. It frequently gives outdated answers that violate standard of care. No way to know which sentences are the wrong ones. The result is every fact must be searched again manually anyways. There i

Selling on revenue multiple is easier bc means leaving a lot of $ on the table: a good sale is in terms of the value to the acquirer, which can be a % of a massive #, not the immature revenue operations of some young startup . But if you d

The goal of lang features like these is to automate the optimization especially when it is hard to do at scale without it. Scenarios that start with "If only everyone..." are great candidates. Conversely, agreed, it's not THA

I'm curious why you say 'more common'. When we did some adoption analysis, we found elastic vector indexes to have much more traction than others (excluding say faiss), even if it's a small % of elastic's advertisin

You should always be able to know revenue, so valuation is x 2 if a consultancy and x 10 if software. Likewise, increase/decrease based on whether revenue is doubling/tripling annually or not. The average multiple goes up and down

The interesting difference, and current problem, is VCs expect raised funds to be spent as burn on hiring more people despite existing people already being paid from VC capital instead of revenue. And they expect that to keep happening: eac

VC $ works out the same. 18-24mo, with an even higher burn than a bank would accept, and the assumption that you can raise a 2X+ bigger round at the end of it to pay for the previous staff + next round of hires.

Ah yeah, I'd still fix the asymptotics first before doing multicore: 10X multicore speedup on a problem means little when haven't done the 100X+ speedup :) we do 500k+ node graphs on frontend, and million/billion on backend..
