WGS-84 has angular coordinates, you can't measure distances like they need for construction without projecting to Cartesian coords, hence the local CRS they developed.

Perhaps. Best to talk to an accountant. fwiw mine are about 70 quid a month, they're generally good but have f'd up in the past so i can't really recommend them. Hence my advice to try and keep things as simple as possible fo

If your SaaS is not directly related to your consultancy work, you prob want to keep it separate. That way if any shit hits the fan you've got 1 income stream less at risk. Plus it makes accounting simpler

Employer social security contributions is a big one. In the USA it's around 5-10% of a worker's salary. In Spain it's around 40%. The gross salary a worker sees is after these, so not representative of what it actually

I get a lot of what you are saying, and have similar feelings sometimes. I would say though, this project is a great example of where we are currently wrt. COTS-ish ML. It's not trying to be anything world changing, just a bit of fun

Weather data is usually derived from geostationary satellites which is sort of an adjacent field to the lower-orbit imagery the article is based on (i believe?)... but i know of a couple of projects doing analytics here - not sure about com
