I'm a huge fan of this. Have done it many times, and it's an important exercise. Keeps you in the moment. Related: See FullContact's Paid Paid Vacation policy: https://www.fullcontact.com/blog/paid-paid-v

Yep. The real question is how prevalent these "skimping on safety" companies are. When taken individually, no doubt it looks bad - but when considering that there are thousands of delivery partners, each having 20-500 trucks, deli

IIRC, it's all independent contractors. Whether it's an independent company contracted by Amazon (which is the bulk of it), or a direct Lyft/Uber-style gig economy model of sourcing contract drivers. Here's a (somewhat s

Agreed, on the surface (and given current legislation/IP legal climate). One thing that may also come into play - what about accessibility and the Americans with Disabilities Act? In this age of "slippery slopes be damned," I

Agreed with the other user's assessment of pumps. I've had T1D since 1990; been wearing a pump since 2004. My A1C has averaged 6.3 since 2000 (so I was in control before I started on the pump) - and I lived in Los Angeles from 200

Point of information - the progressive taxation ("tiered") method from the UK is the same as in the US. You pay in tax bracket A up to $X, then the next tier is taxed at tax bracket B, and so on, and so on.

I largely agree with your perspective - with a couple of differences. Most importantly, while I see what you're getting at with #2, I don't think disproving the SPE makes it so you can't explain things like neonazis, etc. T

Not everyone has a domain name, they cost actual real money. The question comes down to: is owning a domain like owning a computer (a commodity)? Or is owning a domain more akin to owning a phone (landline), or real estate, or a business? I

When you put it that way, I nod in agreement. But at the same time, I reflect upon the days of the phone book, which most people on this board likely never knew. Your phone number and address would be listed by the phone company as part of
