- bigtunacan 8y agoLOL, yeah. Looking back on it now, five years later, it's a bit humorous. I went and found the resort manager and explained the whole situation to her. She didn't know anything about diabetes, so she really wasn't understanding how severe the situation was. Resort Manager - "Won't you be ok for a week until the boat makes a trip back to the mainland for supplies?" Me - "No, I'll be dead before then." Resort Manager - "Is it really that serious? Do you know how much it will cost? It's really going to cost a lot of money; you will have to pay for the gas, the boat crew, and the pharmacy isn't even open on Saturdays. This is really going to cost a LOT of money." Me - "I don't care how much it costs. I'm a dead man without it. Go wake up the boat crew and call the emergency line for the pharmacy and have someone come in."
