This is often presented as one of the strengths of OpenBSD. I find it hard to believe that Linux man pages are so far behind (why would they not be copied from BSD?), but do of course not claim that it would be impossible. Could someone ple

Nor does the article state what the intended target even is. Typically, UNIX systems was for servers. And that is probably where security matters the most, too. Along with a conservative view on what hardware to support, it sounds an awful

Given how common government surveillance is these days, enabled especially by certain companies that consider themselves pioneers in the 5G space, I am not overly convinced that this functionality is unintentional. Interesting how the GSMA

I cannot help but wonder if the use of such tools as the ones listed in the article are not just "privacy theater", in the same sense that we have come to realize that much of what happens in the name of security is just "sec

Seems to me like Cloudflare would be in a position where they could effectively decide on a new official fork and make sure it is one that is more sustainably maintained, then.

I love the way it predicts what I will write, how attractively it presents the predictions, and how it understands commands and completions based on man pages. But with decades of bash experience, I struggle with making even the slightest s

There needs to be fines for when stuff like this happens. The bottom line is all that matters to bosses, so unless engineers can credibly point to the economic impact of poor security decisions, these things will keep happening.
