Does topical discussion of Amazon come up at other places you frequent? If not, this makes sense.

Having to stay on a website 24/7 to get new content sounds not very usable or user-friendly.

Honest curiosity: How many gestures do you regularly use? How many buttons does your mouse have?

You are vastly over-exaggerating. According to https://aviation-safety.net/statistics/period/stats.php?cat=... , even when limiting to the period between ~1970 and ~2003, it is about 2 per month on average. The

It would not be funny if even just one person ended up with that so I hope not. A bot would not end up in that situation anyways, either the earlier commands were already evaluated or your proposed remote kill would also not work.

Oh how cool is that, I never even heard that term before. Thanks! It does look quite complex though, I have to learn about proxying and nginx.

The topic itself is definitely super interesting and relevant. But the submitted post is pretty much a meme.

Yes and that makes things magnitudes more complex than just serving a static HTML page.

You are not doing something wrong, you are simply not designing for high-load. Loading things dynamically on every request is perfectly fine for almost any blog. Moderation is offtopic. Putting comments on a different system seems like ov

A blog typically comes with a comment function. That's something dynamic which requires lookup in some sort of database. Your page is purely static and does not even have pagination between posts. Hosting that is trivial and nothing to

While relatable, this is just a low effort post more suited for Twitter or Reddit. For a fair comparison OP would need to use clean browser profiles on fresh IPs. Like this it is just fan-service for Google Captcha victims (like me).

That's another thing destroying civilization much faster than nuclear waste. Not sure why you mention it in this thread on nuclear waste.

Then why would they hijack the top comment about widespread PDF support instead of making a separate top-level post when the whole submission is about PDF?

Thank you! I wonder if there is a way to see the % of votes from subreddit members vs others. Memes and similar sh*tposts can really ruin a subreddit in weeks.

Of course not, just like my forum would not be open for people who post flame-bait like yours. Behaving like a decent human being is an implicit, obvious rule.

Please add "Pi-Hole" to the title, this is just the umpteenth post about that and the title is clickbait.

It seems to be purely about aesthetics and ridicules other things said on the page. JPEG would not only be quicker to decompress but could also be much smaller for a similar "geeky" look.

How did they get to know what had happened? Was it reconstructed after the crash? If so, then why was it not simulated beforehand? Or did they get live data during it?
