This is pretty much what happened to me, except after a few keypresses, the key broke and never recovered. Apple Store fixed it, though.

I haven't looked too much into the differences, but I suspect DE since it seems to support Linux better.

I don't even want to count how many compressed air bottles I'm through. Most of the time it fixes the problem, but (so far) three times I had to take it to the Apple Store and claim Consumer Law because the key mechanism broke.

I was thinking of either the Lenovo X1 Carbon, or the Dell XPS 13. They seem robust, lightweight and run Linux.

Actually, the current version is v3, found on 2017 MBPs. v2 appeared on 2016 MBPs, and v1 on the first 12" MacBook. I have the v2 version, and this is my third top case, if it were not for consumer laws here, I would have moved to anot

While you’re right, this is a point to me which made me choose PIA over competitors. I like when companies give back to open source communities.

I've used BackBlaze for a long while, it works without issues and saved me a lot of times. A cool feature about BackBlaze is that you can browse your files online, this became extremely useful when I traveled with my iPad and I forgot

What I also like about PIA is their continued support of Open Source projects. I have been a PIA customer for a while now and will remain for the time to come.

Adding to this, it now seems that monitor.gitlab.net that's linked in the top post is sending "502 Bad Gateway".

Interesting article with interesting results! I see there is a pull request to test the Erlang BEAM (via Elixir) with seemingly similar results to Go. To me that's pretty interesting given that Erlang's BEAM is a Virtual Machine a

This is the same at Imperial College London (my university) and while some students complain (mostly those who are already familiar with programming before coming to college), some are very interested; in fact, every year we have about 2-3

I appreciate the article is from 2006, but it would be nice to see a similar write up for recent EFI-based machines and maybe other architectures, as well.
