I see two possible reasons: (1) People don’t know who is affected by the GDPR and who is not. (2) There is still enough time to send a consent e-mail before the GDPR becomes effective on May 25.

This is one of the reasons I posted this. The visual design is very eye-catching and the level of detail on the intrinsics is very nice. It's also great to see which ones are for SSE{,2,3,S3,4.1} and AVX{,2,512}.

Excellent service, just what I needed! I’ve been looking at Mastodon for a long while now, but with the recent API changes at Twitter, it’s just the right time to make the switch.

I find the use of muted words to slightly better the issue of receiving tweets from people I don’t follow. At least the topics their tweets are about will not be a topic I don’t want to read about.

I think it’s well time to migrate to Mastodon. I suppose it has streaming features?

Yes! Conferences in CS have increasingly begun to adopt a double-blind approach to reviewing papers, meaning that you won't know who the reviewers are, but neither will they know who you are or your credentials. This way, as long as yo

What always strikes me about Bitcoin is the fact that most people don't buy it because they want to spend it. They buy it because they speculate that the price of $BTC will increase. In my view, this effectively makes Bitcoin the most

There's a lot of literature that point towards more application-specific optimization in the lowest levels of the operating system, for example the Exokernel papers are an early example of this. More recently, you may want to have a lo

Wrong, waitpid(-1, ...) waits on all child processes of the current process, and would return -1 with errno set to ECHLD if there is no children. The point about missing error checking still stands though!
