Sorry, but this is health-care going back to pre-1850 levels with a Web 2.0 interface. If this becomes widespread, it defeats the whole idea of 'pay according to your means, get treatment according to your needs', social solidarity, etc.

Hey, maybe I'm not in the target audience, that's all. Anyway, as I said, didn't want to sound mean even if I did. Good luck with your product.

Don't want to be mean with Xobni, but considering all the buzz and all the effort that went into it, there are some questions I have to ask. Most importantly, what's the point in all this? What's wrong with e-mail? I get a fair amount of e-

A few people at either extreme wouldn't make the median go anywhere, that's the whole idea of using median instead of arithmetic mean. Probably this explains the difference between genders: say three wo

For google, all regional domains are counted separately, google.com, .de, .ro, etc., while for youtube, as far as I know there's only .com that's viewed all over the world.

Honestly, I think it's in their right to do whatever they want with it. It's nice that they kept it open source entirely until now. Even SQLite, which is the open source project par excellence has additional modules that are not publicly av

What you say is true for comments, I agree that every contribution should be judged on its own merit. For filtering/ordering submissions though, such as on the reco-page on reddit, a web of trust is quite natural. Since we have limited time

I use my own site as a start-page, where I store a list of links. I put up a relatively simple interface for adding-removing links, plus some extra visuals. http://www.lkozma.net/links

SQLite is a great piece of code, but it's intended for slightly different audience than MySQL and other client-server DBs. I'd use SQLite embedded in an application to store internal data, configuration, or as some domain specific file form
