If they occur at increasingly small intervals, they are probably also decreasingly important and far-reaching. Probably we see those that are closer to us more important as they are.

Instead of the $80 walmart bike, I'd recommend buying a simple, robust, used one for the same price. Bikes in walmart are incredibly low-quality, not properly assembled, they will let you down when you need them the most.

Sorry, but I don't see the connection between not being on Facebook and "not getting it" as the author implies.

The only dubious thing is how are people who install Alexa toolbar representative to the population as a whole. Do they collect some personal info, so they can correct the bias in the sample?

I think those "special" schools are even worse, because you kind of put pressure on them to be creative. I think regular schools are best if not taken too seriously. Kids will learn despite the system anyway, not because of it.

Sometimes I really think Gates starts to miss the point. These screens and projections everywhere used to be the next big thing since the sixties, they remind me of those "the house of tomorrow" cartoons. I saw an interview with him

I think what most people tend to overlook is how great the name of the site is. It's funny, it's cynical, it's patronizing, but it sticks in the head. I just heared that name once maybe a year ago, and I might have heared of thousands of ot

You need these restrictions in order to protect your freedom. If GPL would allow combining code in proprietary code, someone could take your GPL-code, build a product out of it, release it under a proprietary license, then sue you for infri

The job market is pretty much like the used car market. There's asymmetrical information. The seller knows all about the product, the buyer knows nothing. What happens in these markets is that the buyer is willing to give about average pric

I agree. Another issue is that if you do a local version as an outsider, people will be able to tell that something's just not right, and you'll have a hard time competing with home-grown apps, that understand the local culture much better.
